The hotel offered a lovely restaurant with great breakfast and a delicious dinner menu. the rooms were comfortable and the prices were good. the location was convenient, with the city center being only a short walk away.
it was a bit difficult to find the hotel initially. Checking in was also a bit confusing as I had to be buzzed in to park my car, although this did provide added security.

During my recent business trip to Gyor, my director chose Hotel Kalvaria as our accommodation. I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with my stay there. The hotel offers a fantastic range of amenities, including a sauna and fitness center. After long days of meetings, I found it incredibly rejuvenating to unwind in their sauna, followed by a quick workout in the fitness center. These facilities certainly added an extra level of relaxation to my stay, ensuring I was ready for the next day's activities.
I had reserved a room for two people, but unfortunately, only a single room was available.

I stayed at Hotel Kalvaria in Gyor for a short, busy trip. The room was pleasant and the bathroom was big, with fresh textiles. The hotel had good parking facilities and there was even a convenient space for an official meeting. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and they allowed my dog to stay. The breakfast was delicious and the hotel's location was nice for taking a walk.
Can't recommend highly enough this hotel.

I had the pleasure of staying at a hotel that offers different categories for different standards of elegance. The spa was marvelous with a variety of options. The food was delicious, especially the Hungarian specialties. The terrace was a delightful place to dine.
Who needs a comfortable bed, sparkling clean room, or peaceful surroundings when you can enjoy someone else's beard in the bathroom?

We had a blast with live music pumping up the party vibes all night long. And guess what? They had a billiards and darts area! We challenged each other and had epic gaming battles. Plus, there's a super cool children's playground where we could unleash our inner kids and have some fun. And if that wasn't enough, the hotel is located in an area perfect for cycling, so we rented bikes and had an awesome time exploring the surroundings.
The only thing we would have loved to see at Hotel Kalvaria is a better selection of nightlife activities for young party-goers like us. A cool club or a DJ spinning some sick beats would have taken the fun factor to the next level.

I really liked the cozy atmosphere of the hotel. The decorations were charming and made me feel right at home. The general areas were well-maintained and had a warm and inviting ambiance. As a senior woman, I appreciated how accessible the hotel was for me. The staff was always ready to assist and made sure I had everything I needed during my stay.
I would have preferred if there were more activities or entertainment options available for senior guests. The children working there were very kind and helpful, but I believe having some organized events or programs specifically tailored for older guests would have made my vacation even better.

I was pleasantly surprised by the elegant decor of the hotel. The beautiful furniture, artwork, and soft lighting created a warm and inviting atmosphere. The hotel's accessibility for senior people was also impressive. There were elevators available, making it easy for me to move between floors without having to climb stairs. Additionally, the hallways and common areas were spacious, allowing me to navigate comfortably with my walking cane.
I would have appreciated if the children working there were more attentive to the needs of senior guests. It would have been helpful if they offered assistance with carrying luggage or provided information about nearby attractions suitable for older individuals.

Loved the Magnolia Spa, felt like a wrinkly prune after the soak. Billiards, darts, and table football to show off my nonexistent skills. Enjoyed the terrace meals, where I pretended to be fancy while eating light foods.
The conference rooms could use some soundproofing, so I don't have to listen to all those boring presentations.
